Fresh Sausage and Broccoli Rabe

Ingredients
2 Pounds
Fresh sausage, sliced
1-2 Bunches
Broccoli Rabe, chopped
I Large
Onion, chopped rough
5 Cloves
Garlic, chopped
1/2 - 1
Lemon, zest and juice
3 Tbsp
Red wine vinegar
Salt to flavor
Step by Step Instructions
- Heat bacon drippings or other fat in a large skillet. After chopping your onion and garlic, sauté together over medium heat until tender.
- Add sliced pork to the skillet and brown on all sides.
- Toss in broccoli Rabe. Drizzle in lemon juice and red wine vinegar.
- Allow to sit until broccoli Rabe is tender.
- For a spicier dish, use red pepper flakes.
- Enjoy.
